Connecting Buildings & People

European Real Estate advisor and managing agent, BNP Paribas’s new development at 77 Coleman in London, will be offering tenants and visitors a seamless and touchless journey to and through the building with Forge Bluepoint visitor management and integrations with other building technology.

Bastiaan Koekkoek, Business Development, Forge, says:

“BNP Paribas, wanted 77 Coleman to be a showcase of smart building technology and to do this they wanted integration of building management systems to allow for the best experience for visitors and tenants. In the current climate, a touchless experience was high on the list along with reception service, that would enhance and compliment the experience, provided by Acuity.”

Located in the heart of London and fully refurbished in 2020, 77 Coleman prides itself on being one of the UK’s most connected buildings, with a platinum connectivity rating by WiredScore, the official Mayor of London’s Digital Connectivity Rating Scheme.

Antron Security was commissioned to oversee the implementation of the security integration with Forge Bluepoint visitor management and access control provider, InnerRange and lift supplier, Kone.

Jamie Crane, Commercial Director at Antron Security, says:

“The flexibility of the Integriti Access Control system and Forge Bluepoint visitor management solution provides a future-proof solution that allowed us to facilitate high-level lift integration (destination control).  We can continue to meet the ever-changing requirements of the landlord and tenants via our ability to integrate with third-party systems and devices such as lifts, intercoms, lighting and building management devices. We are very proud to be handing over a fully working system in such unprecedented times. The preparatory work was key to ensuring the system was installed in a timely and professional manner. Our thanks to IDL, Forge and Inner Range for their continued effort in helping this project meet the clients’ deadline.”

Automatic visitor destination

The integrations mean that when visitors arrive at 77 Coleman, they can check-in using their phone – scanning the QR code in the invite email sent by Forge Bluepoint. The QR readers are on the building turnstiles when entering the building. This check-in automatically calls the lift to take the visitor to the floor where they are meeting their host for the appointment.

Bastiaan Koekkoek, Business Development, Forge says:

“It’s been great to work with the team at Antron Security to get things up and running, and to be able to deploy our high-level visitor management solution, with access control and lift integration with Inner Range and Kone at this stunning building in the city!”

Efficient reception services

Providing a human face to the visitor journey and overseeing the technology is Acuity, London’s five-star front of house services company at 77 Coleman. Not only do they see the benefit of a seamless journey for their visitors, but they can view and manage the flow of visitors to the building with the data available in Forge Bluepoint.

Chiara Di Rienzo, Director at Acuity commented:

“The reception lobby at 77 Coleman has been fitted out to a very high specification, and it’s important to our client that the quality of the reception service reflects the superior standard of this environment. We have worked closely with BNP Paribas Real Estate to design a visitor journey that is welcoming and creates an outstanding first impression as guests arrive at the property. Selecting suitable reception staff, attiring them in bespoke uniforms and delivering effective training are all important factors in creating this great first impression.

“However, efficiency in processing guests is also a vital component of the visitor journey, and this is why we are delighted to be working with Forge Bluepoint, visitor management. It is a system that our team members like to work with. It’s very user friendly and has a high degree of functionality that not only speeds up the visitor registration process but also generates statistical data that helps us to ensure that staffing levels are maintained at optimum levels”.
