Amid a challenging year due to the pandemic, Forge is delighted to announce that it has achieved the internationally recognised Information Security Accreditation, ISO 27001.
Paul Speariett, Director, Forge says:
“There’s no doubt 2020 has been one of the most challenging years we have seen. With the interruptions to the business, it has given us a chance to reassess and look at how we work in all aspects, including what we offer our customers. One of the things we wanted to do is ensure that as we head into 2021, we can give our customers more certainty and confidence.
This award not only shows our commitment to the highest standards for our customer’s data security, but it means they can be confident that we risk assess and review our processes on an ongoing basis to ensure we continually meet the standard.”
To achieve ISO 27001 certification, Forge engaged in an in-depth risk assessment, a comprehensive review of all information security policies, procedures, and controls. As a further step in the validation, Forge was assessed via a review of its documentation, practices, and controls by QMS International, one of the UK’s leading ISO certification bodies.
Mark Middleton, Senior Architect, Forge says:
“ISO27001 ensures that we are continually developing our cloud-based solutions to provide security and audited best practice for our customers. It gives the team the structure and processes they need to assess risks and challenge how we do things.”
The new accreditation sits alongside the quality management framework certification, ISO 9001, awarded to Forge in March this year. Forge also gained a place on the Government’s G-Cloud framework for public sector procurement cloud-based services in October, for the second year in a row.
Forge works with customers to deliver solutions that connect people to buildings. Forge Bluepoint visitor management facilitates a flexible and secure way to manage people visiting buildings. Integrating with leading access control providers including Gallagher, Inner Range, Nedap and Paxton, Forge Bluepoint provides a touchless entry for visitors.
ISO 27001 is an information security management system, which outlines a framework of policies and procedures to mitigate the risk of a security breach. Covering more than just IT and cybersecurity, the certification provides a model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an ISMS, and covers all aspects of an organisation’s information risk management process.
